Life & Health Coach, ACC, RN
I am living life one sagacious step at a time with faith. I hope to inspire you to be the best YOU can be. I reside in Dallas, Texas, a mom of four grown children, a home educator for 18 years, a grandmother, a third culture kid, a nurse, a certified Christian life and health coach, a photographer and most important of all a follower of Jesus. Since 2018, I’ve helped my clients break through the obstacles that seem to be holding them back in life. Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. Let me help you discover your sweet spot and develop better ways to handle the issues that are standing in the way of your goals. Get in touch today to see what I can do for you.
I absolutely recommend Barbie. I felt that Barbie did an excellent job as a life coach for me. Her questions were designed for me to engage in self-examination and dig deeper, rather than skip over some important life truths. I could tell that she prayed for me because her interactions with me were always loving and kind, even when exploring some difficult things to face and explore.
Barbie is a great life coach. She is ready to listen and meet her clients in ways that they need.
"Barbie helped me zero in on key issues and draw out the direction I needed to go. She extended grace, support, and resources and when guiding me through complexities, I could tell she really cared. She was both caring and professional. I’m grateful for her coaching which gave me the courage to do the next thing."

Balance is required between “this is who I am” and this is “what I do.” For example, I love to fly airplanes. I am currently a major airline captain and I fly a Cessna 210 and a RV-7 when I’m home. I also served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot. This is what I do. My dear wife Barbie and I have four adult children and four wonderful grandsons. During life coach training I learned I have the strengths of Empathy, Harmony and Developer. This, along with my identity in Christ, is who I am. So does “doing” take away your right to “just be?”
Understanding this struggle between being and doing will bring balance to your life. As your Career and Transition life coach I partner with you. Together we can gain clarity on who you are, how to best operate in your strengths, and how to overcome limits you put on yourself. Then discover new paths to accomplish your desired goals for a career, to live out your faith or love your family. As your life coach I will help you find balance. It’s time to open the door to find new sagacious paths to growth.

My heart as a coach is to see you as God sees you. To see the gifts and talents God has given you developed further while working together with you to stretch and reach for change.
My personal relationship with God has set my life’s direction, while many other relationships have
influenced me along the way. Living much of my life internationally has given me a broad perspective;
God has made life and people complex and our backgrounds play a big part in how we view ourselves
and the world.
Initially having practiced as a physical therapist, and then a teacher, coaching is the culmination of my
journey so far. With three married children, the joys and struggles of family have also shaped me and
continue to frame my growth.
My focus is on transitions, whether big or small. I bring perspectives and questions to help develop new
understanding and awareness. My purpose is to help people see how God is growing and leading them
through the opportunities and challenges in life.
"Joy allowed us to stay focused on the process of who we wanted to be and how we wanted to engage in this next phase of our lives. In each of our sessions, Joy asked thought-provoking questions that helped us work through tough spots. Her insightful observations assisted us in formulating concrete goals that moved us forward. We are so grateful for all you have done for us!"

"My experience having Joy as my coach has been very positive. She has a naturally warm, encouraging personality. I have benefited a great deal from her coaching help in exploring useful avenues to think through various issues in my life, and I always come away encouraged and with a renewed sense of hope."
"As a life coach, Joy asked questions to help me gather thoughts to become professionally prepared for an interview for my dream job as a hospice nurse. Joy was encouraging, focusing on strengths while putting weaknesses in perspective. I highly recommend Joy as a life coach!!"
